I just heard about the new text law and i think it is a very good law but there needs to be some strick guide lines on who and when a dot or lawyer can find out when someone has been texting. I think the driver must have been seen texting by law enforcment or if was involved in a wreck only. A friend was pulled over for a general inspection of the driver and then the officer asked to see his cell phone so he could check his messages. luckly he had not had a text since his morning off time. so if i get a text and pull off the road to read and text back then i could get a ticket, that is not right at all....... i feal like we (drivers) are robots now with all the new regulations on are logs and in general????
