As a Broker who can be held liable for utilizing an unsafe carrier, I will never use a carrier whose credentials I cannot be confident about. As it stands now, the FMCSA and Safersys has flaws in the timely reporting of information and having the added dimension of a carrier based in the haze of corruption and careless habits of a foreign country preclude me from loading foreign carriers. The idea of allowing poorly regulated carriers on our highways is ludicrous and absurd. It would result in needless deaths on the highways, lost or stolen freight and irrevocably damage our economy by putting U.S. citizens out of work. Do not allow this damage to our fragile economy.
