this comment is in regards to the proposed rule on Medical examiners reporting requirments. The rule is considering changing the reporting requirments from monthly to daily. I do what to ask what consideration is being given to the provider such as myself who has a rural practice and there is no internet service or cell phone accessability available at my rural practice. I currently enter all my CDL exams from my rural practice at my city office location. If the requirements become effective for daily submission this would require me to drive a 34 mile trip to my other office everyday just to submit the reports. As it is now I submit the report with in 48 hours from my rural practice. It there is no consideration to this proposed bill I will not be able to comply to the new rule. The only way to comply would be to limit CDL physicals to only one office which is two days a week. This would cause a restraint of trade for me and lessen my services since most of my CDL exams are done at my rural practice. Please consider these circumstances and make an exception for rural practices such as mine.
