OSHA requires specialized training for many jobs in the oil & gas servicing business such as forklift operators & crane and winch truck operators.
The new rule making ignores many types of these jobs and is overly restrictive allowing for misinterpretation by authorities and the courts.
This rule as proposed will only muddy the water. The industry and the FMCSA would be better served leaving well enough alone.
