I have found from past experience that most of the nutritional info that I seek is most often derived from the vendors website that I purchase from. Most Vendor Rep's have the nutritional info at their finger tips. However, ten years ago this was not so. Also, the nutritional label on the institutional pack is usually sufficient for most inquiries about the item in question. Unfortunately if schools districts or directors of these districts are not comfortable with the technology (ie computers) I can very easily see the difficulty and challenges for director to secure this information. I have been employed in four different districts in Massachusetts and two of the four have implemented menu software that address the public need for the nutritional info. That being said, 99% of the publics questions can be addressed through the menu software as long as the info is continually updated.
