This is in regards to the new hours of service supposedly as of July 2013, reset. There are alot of teams out here and the way they are wanting drivers to reset their hours and is going to cause hardship on all of us including owner/operator teams. It will cause some of us to loose our trucks and I am one that it will drastically hurt. What some of us do for a living pulling for the Dept. of Defense this will not work at all...Owner/operators teams that do this always have a reset in a 7 day course..alot of us it is on the weekends, sometimes during the week. We have to beable to go when our loads are there...Alot of the bases are only shipping Monday thru Thursday, most of us have our own trailers so we are live loaded. There isn't enough places for drivers now. They have closed rest areas all over in all states preventing drivers from having a place to rest and then alot with time limits alot less then 10 hours...The 34 hour restart works good...Alot of other drivers agree with me..It will do more damage to the trucking industry if it changed for the worse.
