"The project requires the purchase and use of 3,340 AREMA specified carbon steel standard 1 1⁄8" nominal diameter nuts." I'm sorry but I would like to think that every industrialized nation is capable of producing steel nuts. This is certainly a large enough quantity for any shop to tool up to produce the order. If there is to be an exemption for this purchase then the entire Buy-America program is worthless, as this is exactly the type of product which we want American workers to be producing in American factories.
