FRA–2010–0135 The trains regularly wake up many people in our neighborhood. Sometimes it seem the conductors blowing the whistles are purposefully being as loud as possible for as long as possible. It is an area that is obviously residential, even from the tracks. The loud late-night train whistles disturb sleep and cause stress to residents as they are regularly awakened. A quiet zone is necessary for the people who live (and pay taxes) here. The crossings in question are well-lit and have flashing warning lights and bars already in place. Whistles are unnecessary and drive down our property values. Many people have looked at buying houses for sale in our area and told us that they are not because the train whistles are too loud. So train whistles = lack of sleep which causes stress, and lowers property values as homes won't sell because of the whistles, which leads to more stress. This is such a nice area, help us keep it that way. Thank you, Nicole Nash
