Petitions for Waivers of Compliance

I am writing is support of the City of Burlington’s petition for Waivers of Compliance which is related to the City’s required improvements to retain its quiet zone status. (Docket #: FRA-2013-0039). The purpose of this waiver is to give the City more time to complete the required improvements to retain is quiet zone status. I am the General Manager of the Burlington Hampton Inn, that is located right next to the railroad tracks. This hotel was developed and opened 2 years ago as part of the downtown Burlington redevelopment. It is imperative that the City is able to retain the Quiet Zone status. Without this status our business would be adversely affected. Our property as well as others in the downtown area would see a negative financial impact if you were to lift the city's Quite Zone Status. I appreciate this opportunity to voice my concerns. I would ask that you give the city the extension they have requested to make the necessary improvements. Thank You
