Cooperative Inspection Programs: Interstate Shipment of Meat and Poultry Products

This inspection program would be of significant assistance to small farmers, particularly those located near state lines, whose small volumes are not attractive to large federally approved slaughterhouses under current law. Many good, small, state-licensed facilities could be approved under the proposed rule and would help broaden both their business and the business of small farmers. I support the proposed rule.
