Greater Roanoke Transit Co/Valley Metro - Comments

Greater Roanoke Transit Co(GRTC) dba Valley Metro has provided charter service to government officials for government business only within our geographic service area. We have maintained documentation, copy of form used attached, to ensure that we limit our service to 80 charter service hours annually. Request to petition and request additional charter service hours for government officials for official government business is as follow: Nov 14, 2009- Tour of new Va Tech-Carilion Medical College that will open in Fall 2010. Eight (8) hours. Dec 5, 2009- Tour of new Va Tech-Carilion Medical College that will open in Fall 2010. Eight (8) hours. Registered charter providers in our georgraphical service area do not have the equipment (e.g., rubber tired trolleys as we have for our Star Line Trolley Service which will serve the new Virginia Tech-Carilion Clinic Medical College and affiliated facilities). Notification in writing will be sent to registered charter providers in the geographic service area served by GRTC/Valley Metro.
