Our region has been hurt very hard by local school taxes to the point that we have dropped much of our funding for school bussing. The local non-profit public transit operator, Deerfield Valley Transit Association, has easily incoporated these stops onto its existing routes, and saves our communities over $100,000 per year plus allows our kids to have a safe, dependable ride to school and college. If tripper service is eliminated, we lose funding to our agency, increase our taxes, and put more vehicles back on the road. In our case, local school bus companies have willingly given up these routes to us. Please don't change this policy!!!!!!!!! So much is at stake for us!
