I am commenting on the proposed change of the daily bag limit for early teal season 1. The teal are above the long term average so there should be no reason for the 4 bird bag limit , it should be 6 birds as in the regular season 2. The blue wing teal migrate through Texas before our normal season and very few are killed during the big duck season 3. Most of the birds harvested in Texas during the early season are drakes as they molt earlier than hens and arrive here during the early season 4. A increase in bag limit will recruit more hunters for duck hunting and will generate more duck stamp $
