Every year I see more and more teal during the early teal season. The limit during this very short(15 day) season is only 4 birds. We always leave the hunt with birds still flying in like crazy. By the time big duck season starts most of the BWT have already made it out of the country and down south. It only makes sense to raise the limit to 6 birds to keep the population in check. Do we really want to be overpopulated with teal who will compete for food, nesting grounds, etc. with other ducks who don't have the same numbers? It makes no sense to let the population continue to expand at it's current rate and watch the pop. of other ducks decrease steadily. I think we need a higher limit so that we can make a difference in the population in the short window that we have.
PLEASE raise the limit to AT LEAST match big duck season limits. 6.
