Our comments relate to the following main issues: effective population size, ne, must be used, not raw population size. The following are not adequately considered: global warming, climate change and drought severity and frequency, effects of air pollution, acid precipitation, effects of chemical & radiological agents, herbicides, animal pesticides, endocrine disrupters, and natural factors and environmental variation. All these factors would require greater critical habitat than is contemplated. Moreover, the critical habitat designated must be adequate for recovery and it proposed critical habitat is not. Additionally, the proposal fails to adequately inform the public.
