As a resident of Clackamas County for the last 32 years, I have read about the historic populations of fish in this watershed. The river contained large numbers of salmon and steelhead along with resident native species such as the Bull Trout. I've also read about the abuses of early settlers and more recent residents and am saddened by the impact we have had on this fabulous watershed.
I am very much in favor of establishing the proposed experimental population of Bull Trout in the Clackamas River. As a member of the local chapter of Trout Unlimited which carries the River's name, I am honored to help in any way I can to assist in this reintroduction. It's about time we did something to the river to help restore one of it's historic speciies.
