I very strongly support the proposed rule (Docket # FWS–R1–ES–2010–0043) to designate several additional species as threatened or endangered and to designate and revise critical habitate in Hawaii.
I am a citizen of California who regularly visits Hawaii, in large part, to enjoy the state's unique worldclass biodiversity, which is its major attraction to me as a tourist.
Even when I am not in Hawaii, I follow developments on the islands closely and do everything I can to support local and state governments and organizations in Hawaii who are working to protecting the islands' mangificent species.
I respect and am grateful to the people of Hawaii for setting such a powerful example to other states and countries of how to protect and benefit from biodiversity.
I am certain the proposed rule will help both the species involved and the wonderful people of Hawaii.
