Do not list the wolves being reintroduced into New Mexico and Arizona as endangered. They are sufficiently protected by existing regulations. There is much local resistance to their reintroduction based on predation of cattle, intrusion into neighboring communities like Alpine, AZ, where they also attack pets and worry residents, and the threat of additional burdensome regulations (just what is now proposed). This unpopularity of the reintroduction will only be intensified by additional regulation regarded as outside interference with people's lives.
