Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants: Listing Lesser Prairie-Chicken as Threatened Species

Based on the worrisome declines in the population and habitat of this marvelous bird, I fully support listing the Lesser Prairie-Chicken as a threatened species under the US Endangered Species Act. The species is listed as 'red' on the 2007 Audubon Watchlist and as Vulnerable on the IUCN RedList, in part due to worrisome declines in Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico since 2005.
