I support expanding habitat protection for these Comal County freshwater intertebrates. Public land preservation often provides multiple benefits to surrounding communities, in addition to the direct benefit to these few species. Watershed protection, for example, is likely to save water users money in the long run. I encourage the agency managing this project to work closely with community leaders and urban planners to determine how to best work with the private land owners whose properties will be affected by this change in development rights. Thanks for the opportunity to comment.
