I fully support the proposed Fish and Wildlife service rule to list the Grotto Sculpin as an endangered species. When I was a boy scout in elementary school we camped for a night in the Mark Twain National Forest. The Grotto Sculpin is native only to Missouri and lives in many caves and sinkholes throughout the forest region. It is important to protect this animal to ensure that the ecosystem remains healthy and future boyscouts can enjoy Missouri's natural wilderness. Even though the Grotto Sculpin is small and may seem unimportant, we cannot allow the Sculpin to set a negative precedent for other animals and plants in Missouri's forests.
