Why is it that so many resources are being used on a bunch of birds that are not even threatened?
I suppose the Piping Plover is threatened here locally, but this is also the extreme limit of its
breeding habitat. It seems ludicrous to me that so much money, time, and effort are being spent
on this based solely on flawed data and outright lies. Meanwhile the good people of Hatteras
Island now are struggling to make a living. People are loosing jobs over a bird. How much sense
does that make?
