t really is simple. Fact; The Sturgeon ranks among the nations most imperiled fish. Fact; The proposal would designate the Mobile River Basin as “critical habitat” for the endangered fish. Fact; Even with past opposition by industry groups to declaring the Sturgeon an endangered species has had no adverse economic effects and none have been shown for the future. The only question I have is why is it going to take a year, from final public comments July 28th, 2008, until some time in 2009 for a decision?
