Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants: 90-Day Finding on a Petition to List the Spring Pygmy Sunfish as Endangered

I support listing the Spring Pygmy Sunfish as endangered. The population is extremely small and declining. The entire range is threatened by development, agricultural runoff, and aquifer depletion. Additionally, listing the Spring Pygmy Sunfish would help protect other local endemics. Several freshwater mollusks are confined to similar habitats and are under the same threats, notably an unusual population related to the listed species Campeloma decampi.
