The threats analysis for the Northwest Atlantic loggerhead DPS could be seriously flawed. My editorial (http://www.seaturtle.org/mtn/PDF/MTN128.pdf) in Marine Turtle Newsletter issue 128, dated July 2010, provides a full explanation why. The threats analysis in the draft second revision of the bi-national Kemp's ridley recovery plan was adapted from that in the NW Atlantic loggerhead recovery plan. Both could be seriously flawed, as described in my editorial.
