I teach Environmental Education to approximately 12,000 Huntsville City School students a year. Our field experiences include trips to wetland areas and watersheds. We teach the concepts of point and non-point source pollution. We have students take a bio-assessment of macroinvertebrates to test water quality. It is wonderful to be able to tell students that Alabama ranks in the top 5 in the country in biodiversity AND I believe we are #1 in Aquatic Biodiversity! Please protect Beaver Dam Creek and the Pygmy Sunfish.
