commercial fish profiteers ruined the fish populations in this rier and indeed in all of the gulf of maine. they overfish. they take 4 times what they are allowd to take and get away with that theft. the dams should stay. fws is attempting to gouge taxpayers, who are suffering already from too high govt costs to pay for this dam removal. i do not approve of this action. we need those dams to produce electric power. the tremendous cost of dam removal and the consequent overfishing by these commercial fish thieves will not result in any renwewed fish populations. that is somebodys wet dream. with the deficit the way it is, it is best to not act on these pie in the sky proposals. we have a far too free spending govt in place right now. us taxpayers cannot stand more tax gouging. we need less govt and less taxes. cut the quotas of all commercial fish thieves who take from this reiver. the fish may thereby restore their own ppopulations.s.
