I want to make sure you are aware of many useful publications available via the Pacific Northwest Research Station, at the following web address: http://www.fs.fed.us/pnw/publications/index.shtml
and more specifically: http://www.treesearch.fs.fed.us/pubs/publist_all/index.php?id=PNW
A search of the latter for "albicaulis" yields about 44 publications on whitebark pine, some of them very recent.
Thank you
