Are you kidding me? our government is trillions of dollars in debt and we are utilizing resources to protect a fly that no one even knew existed until the late 1980's? The claim that it is a "good indicator" of the river's health doesn't hold up much if it is such a rare species. It seems tough to determine much from something "so rare." Limiting use of the area by hard working, tax paying americans because a fly might be harmed is painful to even think about. Any further resources used to "save a fly" are a colossal waste.
