I fully support the efforts to protect the Araphoe Snowfly. Looking at the available data, its clear that the Snowfly is a rare species that is being threatened by various factors, especially due to the nature of its reproductive cycle. Because the Snowflies are indicators of watershed health, the flies are important to understanding the ecological health of the river and can be indicators of issues in the environment that couldn't be noticed otherwise. I think there should be careful regulation of what kinds of activities can happen around the rivers where these flies can be found. Even harmless recreational activities like hiking and canoeing could harm the species.
