I support the effort to protect critical habitat for the tiger beetle at Coral Pink Sand Dunes. We have an obligation as a society to protect the natural resources and species that the good Lord gave us. A critical analysis of the species' needs should obviously be done, along with estimates of population numbers needed to insure enough heterogeneity in the population's genetics to perpetuate the species over the long term. I am assuming this has already been done and that the extended areas of protection are needed. This may mean standing up to the ATV users, but to me the threat of extinction trumps recreation. Go to Sahara.
