Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants: Designation of Critical Habitat for the Polar Bear in the United States

With data from the USFWS as well as Canadian sources indicating strongly a serious decline in both the polar bear population of Alaska as well as threats to its habitat and food sources, every effort should and must be made to preserve this icon of the Arctic. It would be the saddest and tragic comment on our nation if we did not do so when there remains the ability to save the white bear.
