Please make sure the kangaroo rat habitat protection is not reduced. This rat is the perfect indicator of the fragile habitat that is disappearing in Southern California. The species that depend on this habitat need this indicator organism to keep these areas protected and intact. Fragmentation of habitats are continuing at a rapid rate. Any loss of protection will only exacerbate the problem of protection of wildlife in our region. Sincerely, Pam Nelson
