The sage grouse population should be protected from the development and
influences from humans which threatens their habitat and flourishing presence.
The sage grouse is not the only grouse species that has been decreased in
population because of the loss of habitat from human consumer needs and
desires. The vast development of land threatens the habitat for all the natural life
that has developed and prospered from its' current location. Due to the desire for
many to protect the wolf population and it's further release and spread in the wild,
many other grouse species are threatened in the mountains because of this
preditor residing and causing threat to their home habitat. I would go on long
walks in the mountains and see hundred of grouse populations. Now, I am lucky if
I can find a few or any at all in these areas. It is sad that humans have to take
and have a hard time giving back to the nature and wildlife that is here. I hope that
we can work hard to preserve what is here today so it will always be here
tomorrow.
