I am commenting today to make sure that the Tiger Salamander is protected in Sonoma County. There is a proposed casino that could be intruding in the habitat of this salamander in Cotati. This casino will have devastating consequences if built on the land that this salamander lives on. There is also the water issue which involves the Laguna de Santa Rosa. Again, the casino will take away the water in this most pristine place where birds, fish, salamanders and other wild life live. Because Sonoma County has such a vast array of wild life living here we MUST protect each species so the intrusion of human buildings and the pollution that is caused from over population and destruction of the land and resources is kept in constant check. Please do not let this casino deal go through. We have enough casinos already and not enough salamanders. Thank You for your time and consideration on this important issue.
