The City of Cotati has the following comments:
1. Please relocate the star and word "Cotati" so that we can see the boundaries of critical habitat area within the City of Cotati.
2. Cotati thanks the USFWS for more closely following the proposed text of the Federal Register and modifying the map so that downtown Cotati and other developed portions of Cotati are removed from the Critical Habitat designation. We ask that you also review the boundary depicted adjacent to the east side of US Hwy 101 and consider using Hwy 101 as the actual boundary. There seem to be some remnant portions of parcels remaining within the Critical Habitat designation inear Hwy 116 which are bounded by Hwy 101, Hwy 116 and Commerce Avenue or Old Redwood Highway. It is a very small area that seems to be developed on all sides.
Thank you for your consideration in this matter.
Sincerely,
Marsha Sue Lustig
Acting Community Development Director
