Dear USFWS Colleagues:
I strongly support the listing of the Sierra Nevada Red Fox as an endangered or threatened species. The two subpopulations of this species have declined markedly in this last century, with their high elevation habitats heavily impacted by logging and other human impacts. The decline in population size strongly supports this listing of these species, and I hope that positive actions can be taken both to designate critical habitat and to work to recover the species.
Sincerely,
Deborah L. Elliott-Fisk, Ph.D
