Our family has been fishing and enjoying the eastern sierra mountains for many years. Although I do believe maintaining the habitat of a the yellow legged frog and Yosemite toad are important, I do not believe closing these lakes off from current and future fisherman, photographers, and hikers is the answer. Also, please consider the economic impact that will be felt by the good people earning a livelihood in the "affected" areas. I am from San Diego, and the only reason I visit the eastern sierra's is because of the places the proposal is trying to close. Please listen to each and every one of us writing in to let you all know how horrible it would be to close these lakes off from future generations of fishermen and women. I can't even imagine not being able to fish and just enjoy the awesome beauty of the eastern sierra. It would be downright Un-American. Please reconsider. Thanks for listening.
