In January 2009 the Autonomous Community of Castilla y León (northwestern Spain) has approved the recovery plan of Cantabrian Capercaillie. The official document is: Decree 4 / 2009, dated 15 January, by approving the Plan of Recovery of the Cantabrian Capercaillie (Tetrao urogallus cantabricus) and adopting measures for their protection in the Community of Castilla and Leon (BOCyL No 13 of 21 January 2009).
