WOOD BISON SHOULD REMAIN ENDANGERED. THIS SPECIEE SHOUDL BE PROTECTED TOTHE HIGHEST LEVEL. I DONT BELIEVE FWS PERSONNEL HAVE ENOUGH ECOLOGICAL KNOWLEDGE. ANY HEARINGS ON THIS PROPOSAL SHOUDL BE IN WASHINGTON DC ONLY. NOT IN SOME BACKWATER TOWN. THIS PROPOSAL DD NOT NEED CANADIAN INFORMATION. WHAT COUNTS FOR AMERICA IS AMERICAN LAND. 4000 BISON DOES NOT MAKE VIABLE POPULATIONJ FOR POSTERITY. SO MUCH LAND HAS BEEN TURNED TO CATTLE RANCHING, MINING, DRILLING THAT THERE IS LITTLE LAND LEFT FOR THIS SPECIES AND THAT IS WHY PROTECTION OF THE HIGHEST ORDER IS NECESSARY. NO SITE EVER NEEDS TO BE BURNED 3 TIMES FOR BISON. THAT IS STUPID MGT. MAKE SURE THE BISON HAVE ADEQUATE ROOM TO ROAM FOR THEIR FOOD SOURCES. BURNING UP THE LAND DOES NOT HELP THE BISON.NO HUNTING OF BISON SHOULD BE ALLOWED AT ANY TIME. THE POPUULATION IS TOO SMALL. CATERING TO WILDLIFL EMURDERING HUNTERS WHEN THE POPULATION IS SO SMALL IS CRAZED. FWS NEEDS NEW COMPETENT MGT. FWS HAS BECOM ECROOKED AND GRAFT PRONE. BRUCELLOSIS IS A CATTLE DISEASE. BISON ARE EXEMPT. CITES SHOULD NOT ALLOW BISON MURDER FOR MONEY AND GREED. I AM SO SICK OF THE US AGENCIES BEING IN IT FOR GREED AND MONEY AND PROFITEERING. NONE OF THEM PROTECT ANYMORE.
