Re: Extension of Comment Period, Federal Register 74-133 (July 14, 2009); "Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants; 90 Day Finding on a Petition to List 14 Parrot Species as Threatened or Endangered" I hereby request a time extension for the referenced status review. Due to the negative impact these listings will have on our ability to sustain healthy specimens in programs designed to study and conserve their species, Aviculture needs additional time to find ways to quantify the impact that the listing will have on captive populations. Its will take longer than the allotted 90 day comment period to gather and present accurate and true data concerning the 12 Psittacine species (of the original 14) that remain under review. Thank you for your consideration of this request for a necessary extension of time for comments.
