As a hunter and conservationist, I find the proposal for the exclusions for the three named endangered species, appalling.
To remove the exclusions is not based on any logic. Its based on political, feel good considerations and an agenda that's not based on sound science or wildlife management practices or for the survival of the species.
Ranchers will have no reason to continue to raise and breed these endangered species in captivity if there's no profit for them to make. Allowing hunters on their ranches gives them an opportunity to make a profit. Also, it allows the rancher to maintain proper herd numbers and balance.
Wildlife management science has come a long way in this nation. Hunters have proven themselves to be the true conservationists, to be the driving force behind the resurgence of wildlife in this nation, over the last century.
The economies of the state and locals would be seriously affected by these proposals. As well as, whether these and other endangered species will indeed become extinct.
Will a fell good, politically correct agenda, win out over what's in the best interest of the endangered species.
They are some who thinks it is evil for anyone to hunt or make a profit by giving opportunities for a hunter to do so, especially with these exotic animals. The fact that they are worth something to someone, is what that has saved them from the brink of extinction.
