I strongly support the removal of the generic tiger loophole as proposed in 76 Fed. Reg. 45597, Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants; US Captive-Bred Inter-Subspecific Crossed or Generic Tigers. The regulatory removal of this loophole would go far toward preventing the illegal trade in tiger parts originating from the United States.
Specifically, I support the idea that owners of tigers must report any activity including births, deaths, and transfers and that they must supply a year end inventory of all animals held the previous year.
