The first time I ever saw a Bald Eagle I was 34 years old. That was only 10
years ago. My children grew up watching a nesting pair with me - and they now
think nothing of seeing an eagle. To them, they've always been there. It was
humans that almost made them extinct. It was humans that somehow managed
to
bring them back from the brink. And now you want to allow them to be
disturbed?? I don't care what the circumstances are - we should be staying out
of their way! We all know the numbers - only 50 % survive their first year of
life. I've seen many of them die this year alone, along with nest failures. It
has not even been a year since they were removed from the Endangered species
list and they are, by far, no where near being safe. It's the same with any
animal - urban sprawl - we take over their land and want them removed when they
bother us. Please lets just leave them alone!!
