I am concerned about the disparity between between what is required of non AZA facilities regarding reporting. It would appear that the organization has to track every time each individual biofact (non-living specimen) is used in a program for reporting purposes. When you deliver a large number of programs or reach a large audience with on-site demonstration or touch carts this becomes quite cumbersome. I am not sure how being an AZA accredited facility would require this potentially onerous level of record keeping and reporting, why a nature center or non-accredited museum or zoo could not be trusted.
