I don't see any reason, other than species overpopulation, to allow for extended seasons of hunting for one particular group of people. If the reasoning to allow hunting of migratory birds (sustenance, population control, recreation) is valid for one group of people, than it should be valid for all people of the state. In other words, do not limit this extension to Native Americans but open it to all citizens.
