To whom it may concern, I believe the federal Government, which serves the public, should utilize the services of the public and independent businesses to facilitate any federal operation whenever possible. I do not believe that independent business should ever be restricted from contracting with any federal agency at any time. Furthermore I also agree with the general consensus of NAA member auctioneers that states: As an auctioneer I object to the changes proposed for the sale of Federal Agency personal property. There are a lot of auctioneers whose business is to sell federal surplus and personal property and thus any changes made to this rule would negatively impact them. The auction method is the only true way to obtain the optimum monetary return on property, thus any changes made limiting the disposition of federal personal property would result in a reduction of monetary return.
