I am absolutely against this amendment. It allows the federal government to essentially compete with private, locally-based businesses that support local fire and emergency service providers. This is in addition to the fact that the federal government is not in a postion to render local sales and service support to these highly-technical, life-saving products. Should the federal government elect to ignore the need for locally based business, then where is our free-enterprise system. Welcome to communist USSR!!!
