My son turned 19 in June. I work for CSC and they told me he would be cut off my insurance plan because of his age, but I could pick him back up when open enrollment comes due in November and would not go in affect until January. I went on line and took him off my plan. The insurance is with Aetna. They also told me he is not eligible for coverage because of his age and they didn't know about the new law yet. Now I have read that Aetna is one of the companies that said they would start coverage in March instead of waiting till the Sept. 23 due date to avoid the gap of him being uninsured and avoiding the process of unenrolling him and enrolling him again. Today I find out that I may be working for a different company and will have another insurance compay also. Will I be able to sign him up with the new one. Who Knows! Wish someone would contact CSC and Aetna and fill them in on what's going on.
