I am writing in regard to the advanced notice of rulemaking pertaining to the incorporation of a cross-reference to the statutory list of the types of projects that are eligible for mortgage restructuring. I feel as though this clarification will ultimately help in the process of advancing multifamily housing reform and affordability. To date, the variation between previous rulings, detailing the regulatory definition of an eligible project, have been confusing and therefore difficult to apply with confidence. Thank you for your efforts to bring about regulations that will streamline and clarify the process.
